At the end of August, our incoming freshmen were introduced to Spalding at their orientation and mass. They came and saw the spirit, enthusiasm, and helpfulness of the Spalding community. They also had their freshman retreat soon after. It was filled with new friends, fun games, and preparation for high school. It was a great way to start their high school experience and reflect on past years. Setting goals was a key aspect of these events, so our freshmen could get a vision of how they want high school to look. In addition to the fun, rules were established, speeches were delivered, and expectations were set. This was to inform our freshmen that they will be held to a high standard as Cavs, and to ensure they know how to behave. Everyone is excited to see them flourish here and can’t wait to see what new things they bring to Spalding!
