Through December 9-17th, Spalding students raised over 740 toys to be donated to the University of Maryland Division of Pediatric Oncology. This drive was to honor Garrett Brown, a senior who fought and battled cancer but tragically passed away last spring. Gifts were brought in for people aged 1-21, and they were to be unopened and unwrapped. Each homeroom had a designated box for students to bring in their toys. Then, on December 18th, volunteers brought all the toys to UMD. It’s so important to us, as a school, to give to those who are struggling this holiday season.
