When thinking about the important people who help Spalding run smoothly, there are two people who often get overlooked. Our unsung heroes of Spalding are… our librarians, Mrs. Stumpf and Mrs. Leonard!
Mrs. Stumpf and Mrs. Leonard are kind, intelligent, sweet, and genuine people you want to talk to daily. I wish I could take a study hall because I would love to see them more frequently. They support us with the little things like borrowing a charger or printing out assignments for Spanish class and also the bigger things like resources for research projects.
Speaking of research projects, Mrs. Leonard is a great person to go to with questions about any topic you might need or want to research. She’ll guide you to the best options, helping you get that good grade on your paper or project! She teaches classes about all the resources the Learning Commons offers and she always makes sure to help students after these lessons.
Mrs. Stumpf carries out the administration of the Learning Commons with grace. Mrs. Stumpf is such a friendly face even when you forget to pay your library fee or return your book. She helps students print, lends them chargers, and always has the best conversations. This allows many students to feel comfortable and less stressed about schoolwork.
So, next time you walk into the LMC and see Mrs. Stumpf or Mrs. Leonard, thank them for all they do!
