Archbishop Spalding students bought and wrapped Christmas gifts for 55 families in the Baltimore area. The collection and the wrapping of the gifts began weeks ago and ended on December 13th with students delivering the gifts to Saint Bernadette’s church. Saint Bernadette church will deliver the gifts to the families sponsored by the Spalding community.

Georgia Shockley, the S.G.A. moderator, said, “When we put up the tree and celebrate the birth of Christ with our friends and family it is also time to help others who are not fortunate enough to have that opportunity.”

Adopt-A-Family is one of Spalding’s most meaningful acts of giving and charity, Shockley said. “The generosity was absolutely overwhelming,” she stated. “It is an amazing thing to watch the boxes come down and to see the students working as a team to load and unload the truck.”
