This year at Spalding, our fall sports teams had one of the best seasons by far! Filled with championships, victories, and cherishable memories as a school, we are so proud as a community to have such hardworking and dedicated athletes.
Early fall season victories include the Water Polo Team’s exceptional performance at the Beast Of the East tournament in New Jersey in late September. The boys represented Spalding by winning the Flight 5 division, and the girls by winning the Flight 3 division. Both teams had a fantastic team bonding experience and brought home memorable wins!
Next up, the Girl’s Tennis team was the IAAM “B” conference Champions. The Girl’s Tennis team has been unbeatable for the past two years, and we are excited to see what the future holds for them.
The Spalding Girls soccer team became the 2024 IAAM A Conference Champions after defeating Mercy 2-0 in the Championship!
Spalding Girls Field Hockey placed 1st runner-up in the IAAM Championship game; well done, girls!
The Girl’s Varsity XC team ended the season with a strong 2nd-place finish in the Maryland Private Schools XC Championship! Many of these athletes contributed to this performance with several individual PRs!
This year’s Spalding Varsity Football team has excelled in their season! They have outscored their last 11 opponents 456-27, with an undefeated record going into the Championship. Spalding’s football team earned their final win in the championship, winning 31-7. The environment at every football game is filled with enthusiasm and excitement, including spectacular performances by our cheer and dance team!
Spalding is honored to have witnessed the progression of all the athletes this fall and is excited to see what the future holds for them!
