In the lead-up to this Christmas season, we had a wonderful week and a half expressing our Christmas spirit. The whole school was getting into the fun festive spirit, including the senior class “elf-ing” the halls with decorations after school. The main hall was decorated with bright lights and snowflakes galore. The halls of the second floor were wrapped just as if they were presents waiting to be pulled apart Christmas morning (and some were). The religion wing had tinsel and garland all about and there was even a hall that was practically a winter wonderland from the iconic movie Elf. On Tuesday, with just two days left before the break, everyone showed their holiday spirit by dressing up in their favorite Christmas attire: some wore Santa hats, festive pajama pants, ugly sweaters, and even some Christmas costumes. Our math department even got matching Christmas shirts! We also had a beautiful Mass to honor and recognize Advent and Christmas after our Mass the week prior where we honored Mary and the Immaculate Conception. The last and final day before break was a lovely half day where everyone, from students to faculty, wore their best attire for Dress Up Day The day was filled with fun festivities including caroling by the seniors, music playing on the speakers, many photos taken, and even a visit from the North Pole from the one and only Santa Claus. This was a Christmas season to remember!
