With the holidays upon us and the hallways being filled with holiday joy, the stress of midterms might enter the minds of Spalding students. As a friendly reminder, midterms occur from January 8 through January 10. A summary of the midterm schedule can be found below:
January 8: English (8:10) and Theology (10:00)
January 9: Science (8:10) and Social Studies (10:00)
January 10: Math (8:10)
However, do not worry my fellow Cavs: I am going to share my best-kept secrets about how to prep for your midterms. Start by attending midterm prep sessions, sponsored by the National Honor Society, which starts after Christmas Break. Tutoring locations depend on which subject you are looking for. If you want a math tutor, look in the main hallway of the second floor. There will be teachers and NHS volunteers to help you whether you have no idea where to start or simply need clarification on a specific topic.
If your plan is to study on your own, I suggest looking at all the previous tests from the semester and compiling a list or document of all the questions you may have gotten wrong. Once you have compiled your list, consider creating a Quizlet or Quizizz so you can practice your test-taking skills!
One last thing: remember to breathe. You’ve got this!
